Who is a Sports physiotherapist and what is their job?

A professional sport physiotherapist is a person who has completed a diploma, degree, doctrine in sports physiotherapy specializing in the art of treating sports personal. Sport and Exercise Biomechanics is a title that encompasses the area of science concerned with the analysis of mechanics of human movement. In other words it is the science of explaining how and why the human body moves in the way that it does. In sport and exercise that definition is often extended to also consider the interaction between the performer and his or her equipment and environment. Biomechanics is traditionally divided into the areas of kinetics (concerning the analysis of the forces acting on the body) and kinematics (concerning the analysis of the movements of the body).

The following are some examples of the areas where Biomechanics is applied to either support performers or solve issues in sport or exercise:

 

1. The identification of the optimal technique for enhancing sports performance

 

2. The analysis of body loading to determine the safest method for performing a particular sport or exercise task

 

3. The assessment of muscular recruitment and loading

 

4. The analysis of sport and exercise equipment e.g., shoes, surfaces and racquets.

 

5. Biomechanists are generally involved in attempting to either enhance performance or reduce the injury risk in the sport and exercise tasks examined.

On an average an minimum of 150 minutes moderate aerobic activity and two days of strength training  is necessary to maintain the healthier body and injury/pain free lifestyle. The principles that we follow is exclusively based on the principles of American college of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Every aspect that we follow has scientific background. There are no short cut to fitness, and we strongly believe in it. Our programmes are goal oriented. We don't just train, we do educate the people who approach us about the scientific aspect behind every approachable goal. No false commitments, no Harsh diets nor harsh programmes. 

 

Our Principles are strict that doesn't let anyone to go for any injury. We precisely are proud to say that we are more keen in avoiding injuries than creating one due to exercises.

Assessments

We do not prescribe exercise until we assess. The assessment protocol that we follow has been approved by ACSM and has been used in most of the sports and exercise centers globally. Our principle of assessment is follows a 45 days calendar, as it is proved scientifically by many scientists that it takes 45 days to see a progress (in other term Results) for a particular set of exercises.
